This year's celebration was a success! After some early morning showers, the sun came out and so did the crowds! Visitors enjoyed browsing the sidewalk sales, learning about area not-for-profit groups, having a bite to eat, listening to the Ghent Band and other entertainment.

The merchant-sponsored sidewalk sales started on Friday, July 9th and continued on the 10th. Tremendous bargains were found and many people used this occasion to begin their holiday shopping. Customers took advantage of the sale at Brown's Emporium and a great selection of sale books was found in front of the Chatham Bookstore. Most businesses within the Village joined in the fun.
